El Cadejo – Book Cover Illustration

This illustration was created as a book cover inspired by the Guatemalan legend of El Cadejo, a mystical spirit dog said to appear at night—one white, protecting the innocent; the other black, guiding the lost into danger. The story speaks to the tension between fear and protection, good and evil.

The piece was developed in 2024 as part of the mentorship program by ITSme International Talent Search, where I explored visual storytelling rooted in Guatemalan folklore.
